Chieveley Primary School
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches the pupils who need it most.
At Chieveley, we use our PPG budget to support the needs of disadvantaged children in an equitable way. Below is our overarching strategy for the expenditure of the Pupil Premium Grant, along with our yearly impact statements.
We also have a member of our Governing Board assigned to the role of Inclusion Governor. Their role is to hold the school accountable for the decisions we take in spending Pupil Premium funds, and to ensure compliance with our strategy as detailed below.
