Parent Teacher Association

Chieveley Primary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA is here to raise money for the school and organise fun events for children and parents, we are a registered charity run by an elected committee.

We run many successful events over the school year including the Christmas Fayre, Quiz Night, Childrens Movie night and Disco, the Chieveley Chase and the School Camp Out.  We also run a number of stalls at the Chieveley Village fete.

As Parents and Carers, the support you give in volunteering and attending these events is invaluable and last year (2018-19) it enabled us to support the school in the following ways:

  • Funding 32 Chromebooks – enough for a whole class
  • Funding a number of KS1 and KS2 library books
  • Contributing to the cost of the new doors in the year 1 class room allowing them access to a new outside space
  • Subsidising the Christmas pantomime trip
  • Providing class floats – used to purchase small items to support class specific activities and learning

As parents and carers of children who attend the school you automatically become part of Chieveley Primary School PTA.

The PTA meet once per term, so please come along to meet us and hear what we are planning!  We would really welcome new ideas, offers of support and importantly input on how we use the money raised.

The PTA meetings are relaxed and informal - everyone is welcome with no obligation to volunteer for anything (although of course that would be great if you want to!).

As well as supporting the PTA events, you can make one off or regular voluntary donations at any time using the PTA bank account details which can be found on the PTA newsletter each term or contact the PTA below.

You can also raise funds for the school through school angel - just click on the schoolangel logo above to find out more.  All of the profit goes to help the school and you get exactly the same deal as if you had visited the retailers website direct.
